Holliston, MA (September 2026). Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. (Griffin Electric), a leading electrical contractor throughout New England and the Southeast for nearly five decades, is steadily progressing its electrical and telecom work on the state-of-the-art Saleh Athletic Center for the Charlotte Christian School in Charlotte, NC. Set to be completed by the end of 2026, this new 53,000-sf athletic center will serve the students of each of the lower, middle, and upper schools, which range from junior kindergarten through 12th grade.

First established in 1950, the Charlotte Christian School has seen significant growth over its past seven decades of operation, with the class of 2026 being its largest to date. The athletic facility features a new gymnasium and will have a seating capacity of 1,100 to accommodate students, faculty, and family members. Other amenities of the new complex include a training room, locker rooms, and athletic offices, as well as a spirit shop, concession stand, and an outdoor terrace.

Griffin Electric’s Charlotte team is responsible for the installation of lighting and lighting controls, switchgear, and floor boxes for the new building. Additionally, a fire alarm system will be implemented throughout the facility, and the Griffin telecom team will install robust security raceways on-site.

Based in Charlotte, Rodgers Builders, Inc. is serving as the project’s general contractor, while LS3P Associates, Ltd. and Optima Engineering, also of Charlotte, are the architect and electrical engineer, respectively.
