The Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. Apprenticeship Program is committed to making our employees the most highly trained and skilled craftspeople in the industry – the Best of the Best.
The four-year program is federal and state approved as a comprehensive, highly-specialized electrical training program and has been in existence for over a decade. Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. is an accredited training Sponsor Organization of the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). The NCCER is a non-profit foundation, dedicated to promoting nationally recognized, standardized, portable and competency-based craft training using the
Contren Learning Series curriculum. As a result of this accreditation, our Apprenticeship Training program syllabus is continually updated and remains current with the changing industry trends. In addition, our Apprenticeship Training Program is designated as an approved training site by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
All of our apprentices are required to complete a minimum of 600 hours of classroom instruction and 8000 hours of on-the-job learning throughout the program. On the job, each apprentice earns competitive wages and benefits while
being paired with an experienced journeyworker, who is responsible for developing practical field experience with the apprentice. Apprentices fulfill their classroom and lab requirements by attending Griffin Electric’s training program, conducted in its 17,500-sf training facility in Holliston, MA or in other facilities located throughout Alabama, Georgia and the Carolinas.
